The double mediating effects of family support and happiness on the relationship between meaning in life and suicidal ideation among the Korean baby boomers were examined in this study. The participants were 400 baby boomers (200 men and 200 women) who were born in between 1955 and 1963, and recruited through an online panel provider. The levels of the meaning in life, suicidal ideation, family support, and happiness for them were measured, and the data were analyzed using Hayes PROCESS macro. The major findings were as follows. Family support was a significant mediator variable in the relationship between the meaning in life and the suicidal ideation. Happiness was also a significant mediator variable in the relationship. In addition, it was found that family support and happiness had a double mediating effects in the relationship while family support took precedence over happiness in the mediating effects.
