ABSTRACT

It is expected that older adults these days might have to survive longer than one-third of their lives owing to the extended life expectancy since they retired. The 4th industrial revolution era applying Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data and so on would be drawing in the near future, resulting in that the older adults should have experienced the extremely different living circumstances from today. People in the second half of life get weaker and weaker in their mental and physical functioning with age. In the near future, the older adults, especially those with chronic diseases and/or with disability, might feel so difficulty in maintaining their independence if they would not be familiar with the ICT (information and communication technology). They should cultivate their making good use of a variety of ICT-related products and services in everyday life situations. The current author firmly asserted the need for education of learning to use the products and services practically to the older adults in this article.
