ABSTRACT

I will introduce you a brief overview of the health care systemin Norway (population 4.9 millions; life expectancy at birth 82years for women and 78 years for men) and I will give you anintroduction to the organization and financing of the primary healthcare with main focus on long term care. I will point out the futurechallenge sin long term care in Norway. Last, but not least I willgive you an introduction to how we plan and prepare for meetingthe future challenges through what we called Care plan 2015.
