Influence of Organizational Culture at Elder Care Facilities on Turnover Intention of Employees

ABSTRACT

This study was to figure out the influence oforganizational culture on turnover intention for theemployees of the elderly care facilities. The respondentswere 200 employees who were caregivers for the elderlypatients at the facilities located in the Gyeongbuk area inKorea. The major findings were that task-orientedorganizational culture as well as mental burnout were thesignificant predictors for the turnover intention. Thefindings were discussed in the context of establishingmore constructive organizational culture to lower theintention level, such as emphasizing upon mutual trust,intimacy, and collective consciousness among employees.
